Pour Purchases helps you understand the wine you buy. This page says what we keep, why, and what you can do about it.
What we keep
- Your email address, to sign you in. We don't send marketing.
- Your display name, shown next to your posts and comments. You can change it in My cellar.
- Photos you scan. Every scanned photo becomes a public post on the wall, with the write-up about the wine. Don't scan photos with people, addresses or anything private in them.
- Likes and comments, which are public.
- Bottles you save, which only you can see.
- A count of your scans, so we can apply the daily limit.
Who helps us
- Supabase stores accounts, posts and photos, in Tokyo, Japan.
- Cloudflare serves the website and checks sign-ins for bots (Turnstile).
- OpenRouter passes your label photo, or the wine name you type, to an AI model (currently Google Gemini) that reads it and writes the description. We ask for providers that don't keep or train on what they receive.
Deleting things
You can delete any of your posts and comments at any time from the app. To delete your account and everything linked to it, email hello@pourpurchases.com from the address you sign in with.
